Volunteer Opportunities for All Genders
Volunteering as a mentor with Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver makes a huge impact in the lives of children across the Lower Mainland. Our volunteer opportunities facilitate individual and group mentoring relationships amongst adults and youth. Furthermore, mentorship is a two-way, learning and development partnership where the young person’s needs are placed at the center.
What if every child finished high school, went to college or university, got a job and gave back to our community? Wouldn’t that be something? There isn’t a more important investment we can make than helping our community’s children realize and share their full potential. Research shows that mentoring has a powerful impact on the lives of young people. For example, some of the key findings are that boys with a Big Brother are three times less likely than boys without a mentor to suffer peer pressure related anxiety – learn more about the benefits of mentorship.
