How to Prepare Your Book Donations

Books should be placed in bags or small boxes that are easy to lift. Make sure they’re dry, clean, and free of mildew or major damage. If you’re scheduling a pickup, label your bags clearly and leave them in the spot you specified when booking. For drop-offs, please avoid leaving loose books outside the bin. For tips, visit our How to Prepare Your Donations page.

What Happens to Donated Books?

Book donations are sold through our partners, including Value Village, with proceeds going directly toward funding our programs. These donations help us provide mentorship opportunities for children across Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley. Your used books help fund real support for youth who benefit from strong, stable relationships with caring adult mentors.

Why Book Donations Matter

Book donations do more than reduce clutter — they generate revenue that supports mentorship for youth throughout our service region. Our donation program covers over sixty percent of the funding needed to operate these services. When you donate books, you help us expand access to mentorship and make our programs available to more families. Every bag of books contributes to a stronger community.
