Circus of the Night

Kwantlen Polytechnic University Event Management students will put on a fundraising event for Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver (BBGV) on February 9th. Circus of the Night is a circus-themed exclusive fundraiser being held at The Grid Lounge.  Tickets are $40 and will treat attendees to music, a silent auction, hors d’oeurves and an illusionist.

Kwantlen Public Relations program is a two-year full time diploma.  Graduates of the PR program will be highly qualified to work in careers in marketing, corporate communications, special event planning, promotions and publicity.

“We chose Big Brothers because it is a well-respected organized charity that is important to society,” said Natalie Burgwin, PR student and one of the event organizers.  Although the fundraiser is part of the students’ course work, they said that it’s not about the grades.  “We are not just doing it to pass a course, the event and charity are something they really believe in,” said organizer Ashley Letts.

All proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver.
