Fulfilling Dreams with
Strawberries & Cream
Each Spring, COBS Bread hosts a joint promotional campaign to raise funds and awareness for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada. This year they created a delicious Strawberries & Cream scone for the campaign, and on May 12 & 13, 50 cents from EVERY scone sold at COBS Bread locations across Canada was donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies.
We are pleased to announce that $50,000 was raised through this campaign for Big Brothers Big Sisters Canada. This year, COBS Bread went even further and donated an additional 50 cents for Facebook Page ‘Like’ they received between May 7 and 13. An additional $750 was raised just from Facebook ‘Likes’.
Since the partnership began in spring of 2009, COBS Bread has raised $90,225 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada. Locally, COBS Bread has contributed $24,597 to Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver. Each of the 128 agencies depends on donations to help recruit volunteers and reach more children. Funding received from partners like COBS Bread is used to conduct background checks on volunteers to ensure child safety and provide ongoing support for children, families and volunteers to build long-lasting friendships.

While our involvement with this organization has grown significantly over that period, we have always been impressed with the care and dedication of the staff and its volunteers” says Michelle Duck, Marketing Manager of COBS Bread.
This year’s event was a huge success, with Big and Little Brothers at locations across the Lower Mainland and tons of customers who came out to support a great cause. Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver would like to thank COBS Bread for their ongoing support and for putting together such a tasty campaign!
