ABC's Bachelorette: In-School Mentor

Jillian Harris, 29, earned the title Bachelorette when ABC viewers fell in love with her bubbly personality on the hit show The Bachelor. As it turns out, the charming Vancouverite volunteered with Big Brothers from 2005 to 2008 as an In-School Mentor at Bayview Elementary School. When Jillian brought the bachelors back to her hometown Vancouver, she talked about her experience as a mentor with Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver on the show where 25 men are vying for her heart.

As an advocate for mentoring, Jillian has promised to be interviewed by Big Brothers later this summer. Stay tuned.

Jillian spent one hour each week with her Little Buddy doing fun things like baking cookies in the school’s staff room, chatting, and making jewelry. You can make a difference too in as little as one hour a week. For more information on how you can become an In-School Mentor, visit our website at www.bigbrothersvancouver.com or call 604.876.2447 ext.236
