Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver (BBGV) has raised their age eligibility for Little Brothers from 7 – 12 to 7 – 14 years old. 30 Grade 10 Students awarded CIBC Youthvision Scholarships
11 years ago, CIBC in partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada and the YMCA created the CIBC Youthvision Scholarship Program to address the academic and financial needs of students. This unique program includes a post-secondary scholarship valued at up to $36,000, as well as summer internships starting in grade 10 until the completion of university or college. Community Supporters raise money for Big Brothers
On May 8th and 9th COBS Bread bakeries donated 50 cents from the sale of every scone to their local Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies. Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver received over $4,5000 as one of the benefiting agencies. Thanks to IKEA, Big Brothers Clothing Donation collected over 7000lbs of clothes and household items at the Annual IKEA Spring Clean-Up event.
