Become a Big Sister

Description

Alongside the Big Brothers Program and the In-School Mentoring Program, Squamish also offers the Big Sisters Program.

Are you a woman aged 18 or older living in Squamish? Do you want to make a difference in a girl's life and your own? Answer yes to both and you're on your way to becoming a Big Sister!

As a Big Sister, you'll spend 2-4 hours a week with a girl aged 7-12. You'll focus on fun, friendship-based activities like hiking, biking, baking and doing arts and crafts. Plan an activity or just hang out and talk - what you do is totally up to you and your Little Sister.

John has turned my life around, without him my life would be totally different "Wednesdays are my favorite day of the week because that's when my Big Sister comes to see me!"

Many of our volunteers say they get as much out of this experience as they give. So believe us when we tell you: it's the fun, flexible way to make a BIG difference!
