Find a Big Brother

Description

The Big Brothers Program serves boys aged 7 - 12 who have limited-to-no contact with a positive male role model. They are matched with adult male volunteers who commit to spending 2 - 4 hours a week for a minimum of one year with their Little Brothers, providing friendship, guidance and support.

Eligibility

Any boy between the ages of 7 and 12 who could benefit from a positive male role model who does not display any significant physical, emotional or behavioural problems will be considered. If there is regular contact with the boy's father, a close male relative, a partner or someone from another agency, the program may not be appropriate for your son.

To make the relationship work, your child must be interested in having a Big Brother and you must be willing to co-operate with the agency and its guidelines.

Referrals will not be accepted for the Big Brothers program. Eligible families must contact Jesse directly at jmiller@bigbrothersvancouver.com or 604.876.2447 ext.236.
