"I do everything I can to raise pledges. In fact, my family benefited from Big Brothers' programs so I know firsthand that the pledges are well utilized. I tell all my contacts every dollar counts and that no pledge is too small. I approach customers and friends who pledged me in the past and ask them to do the same this year or challenge them to increase the amount. Following up with people who have promised support also really helps my total.
