Live Auction Highlights

New York New York

Take a bite out of the big apple.  You and three friends will experience the flavour of New York City, from the Brooklyn Bridge to Wall Street.

See Gotham in a private helicopter tour of the city. Coast over the trees of Central Park, the skyscrapers of Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty on Liberty Island.

Get grounded again and choose between the Saturday or Sunday round of the 2009 US Open at the Bethpage Black Golf Course, considered one of the most challenging courses in North America. Your passes include access to the VIP Hospitality Suite, complete with meals and hand rolled cigars.

The following day, get made over like a true fashion forward New Yorker with a hair cut by What Not to Wear’s Nick Arrujo and a guided shopping tour from the comforts of a luxury town car.

In the evening, sample the Chef’s Choice Menu at Morimoto, the world-famous kitchen of Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto. After sushi, make your way to the bright lights of Broadway where you will take in a show. Rent, Westside Story… the choices are endless.

While New York is known as the city that never sleeps, you will do just that at the stylish Westin New York at Times Square. At the heart of the city’s fashion and financial districts and just blocks from Grand Central Station, you will rest easy and sightsee conveniently.

To prepare you for your trip this package includes a one year subscription to New York Magazine.

Taylor is accepted by most wine authorities to be the greatest of all port shippers, famous especially for its sublime and long-lived Vintage ports, which consistently fetch the highest prices at auction, and for old, distinguished Tawny ports. The 1994 is considered, in a word, superb. It is full-bodied, moderately sweet and incredibly tannic with amazing finesse and refinement in texture.  Perhaps the greatest Taylor to date, it also exudes concentrated aromas of raspberries and violets.  Wine Spectator rating: 100 points.
