Join Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver as we hit the bowling lanes for our largest annual fundraiser, The 2007 Bowl for Big Brothers Classic! In honour of Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver’s 50th Anniversary, this year’s campaign theme is the ‘50s’. The campaign is comprised of approximately 100 corporate bowling events between February 15th and March 31st.

Volunteers are needed for 2.5-hour shifts on weekday evenings and weekends between February and April 2007 at participating bowling centres throughout the Lower Mainland. Volunteer duties include: the collection of pledge books, distribution of draw prizes and event paperwork, fielding questions from event participants and taking photos.

Volunteers...

• should be available for a minimum of 5, 2.5-hour shifts during the six-week campaign.
• will be required to help out with a portion of the 12-hour Rock ‘n’ Roll Lawn Bowl Event and Anniversary Party on March 3rd at the Pacific Indoor Lawn Bowls Club in Vancouver.
• may specify their preference to volunteer at particular bowling centres (we have volunteer shortages at The Zone, Xcalibur and Sandcastle Lanes).
• will be required to attend a 2-hour volunteer orientation on January 22nd between 5:30 and 7:30 at  the Pacific Indoor Lawn Bowls Club in Vancouver and will be trained in the art of lawn bowling.
• must be fluent in English
